Age Verification:
All orders placed through hauppaugewine.com are subject to age verification. We can only ship products to individuals who are 21 years of age or older. Upon delivery, a valid government-issued ID and a signature are required to confirm the recipient’s age. If the recipient cannot provide proof of age or appears to be under the legal drinking age, the delivery will not be completed.
Our couriers are required to request identification and record the recipient’s age to comply with local laws and regulations.
General Terms:
Hauppauge Wine & Liquor, based in New York, operates this online store. All prices are subject to change without notice, and we are not responsible for typographical errors. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at our discretion.
By using this website, you agree to all terms and conditions listed, including our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Return & Exchange Policy.
Purchase of Alcoholic Beverages:
By placing an order, you represent that you are at least 21 years of age and authorize Hauppauge Wine & Liquor to charge your credit card for the full amount of your order. All products are for personal consumption and not for resale.
Taxation:
For deliveries outside of New York, you are responsible for filing and paying any applicable sales and/or excise taxes due in your state of residency or the destination state.
Shipping & Delivery:
- All orders placed Monday through Friday will be shipped within 1-9 business days.
- Ground shipments placed Monday through Friday before 4 PM EST will be processed and shipped within 1-9 business days (processing may take longer during holidays).
- Express shipments placed Monday through Friday before 4 PM EST will be processed the following business day.
- Orders placed after business hours on Friday, as well as on Saturday or Sunday, will be shipped out within 1-9 business days starting from the following Monday.
Important Note: If an item is out of stock, delivery may be delayed. If there are address changes requested after placing your order, we will make a good faith effort to accommodate the change, but we cannot guarantee it. Any additional fees associated with the address change will be passed on to you.
Title to Goods:
Once your payment has been processed and all holds cleared, the title to the goods passes to you when the order is picked up by the appointed common carrier. Hauppauge Wine & Liquor is not responsible for compliance with the state and local laws where the goods are shipped. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations related to the receipt of alcoholic beverages in your state.
Shipping Laws:
You are solely responsible for complying with state and local laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages to your state. By placing an order, you authorize us to appoint a common carrier to deliver the goods on your behalf.
Hauppauge Wine & Liquor makes no guarantees or representations regarding the legality of shipping alcoholic beverages to your state. By using our website, you agree to indemnify Hauppauge Wine & Liquor and its employees, officers, and agents from any liability arising from non-compliance with state laws regarding alcohol shipments.
Failed Delivery Attempts:
If you fail to receive your order after the allowed number of delivery attempts and the product is returned to us, a 25% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
If the order was shipped free of charge due to a promotion, a $40.00 fee for shipping and handling will be deducted from the refund. If the package is returned to us damaged due to failed delivery or refusal of delivery, you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
Insurance and Damage:
If you purchased shipping insurance at checkout, you are covered for lost, stolen, or significantly damaged shipments. Minor damage or cosmetic defects during transit are possible and are not covered by insurance. Hauppauge Wine & Liquor is not responsible for lost shipments due to delivery rescheduling or hold requests. Please ensure someone is available to sign for the delivery.
Additional Notes:
- We do not ship outside the United States.
- We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
- All shipments are from our New York location.
